Very realistic story. No happy (or sad) ending, it just ends. Love the part about his not remembering the color of his schoolbook cover. If only tiny parts of your memory are lost, are you still you? What about when you grow older and begin to forget small things? One of the best "hard" sci-fi stories I've ever read.
