At our November 15th, 2011 Book Discussion meeting, we discussed the classic post-apocalyptic SF novel, "A Canticle for Leibowitz", by Walter M. Miller, Jr.
If you're a Star Base Andromeda member who has read this novel and would like to offer up your opinion, please share your thoughts here with the rest of SBA and anyone else who drops in. As part of your comments, please give "A Canticle for Leibowitz" a score, from 1 to 10 (10 best) and identify yourself in your comments. Although we currently only add rating scores to our website for local members and associates who participated in the original discussion or were unable to attend the discussion due to scheduling issues, we would be curious to see how your opinion compares to ours!
If you're one of those visitors who just stumbled across us, you're welcome to share your opinion here, too.
Thank you for participating!

Hey everybody, It's Matt Ahlschwede. I see you just discussed "A Canticle for Leibowitz", and even though I haven't read it lately, it is a very good book. I give it an 8. (I am a big fan of post-apocalyptic sci-fi) Wish I could have been there!
I also vote for an 8. I'd read it in junior high, this was the first time in all those years and I still was impressed and scared. Got the willies over the "red button" all over again now that I read it, feel compelled to go sign a no-nukes petition!
I vote an 8 too. Growing up in the Reagan era made me spooked & fascinated by post-nuclear fiction, and this book both gave me the heebie jeebies and enthralled again.
